Covid Immunisations:
Getting your COVID-19 vaccination as soon as you are offered one should protect you and may help to protect your family and those you care for. The COVID-19 vaccine should help reduce the rates of serious illness and save lives and will therefore reduce pressure on the NHS and social care services.
If you are aged 30 or over, you’re a frontline health or social care workers, you receive a Carers Allowance, have a learning disability, are clinically extremely vulnerable (high risk) or clinically vulnerable (moderate risk) – you can book your vaccine online or call 119 without needing an invitation.

Possible disadvantages or side effects
- Soreness, redness or swelling where the injection is given.

Vaccinations for Adults

As with all medical treatments, vaccines have benefits and potential side effects. Most side effects are mild and short-lived, such as soreness at the injection site, headache, tiredness or mild flu-like symptoms. Serious allergic reactions are extremely rare.
